Aerification

Example of core aerification

Aerification is a critical practice for maintaining healthy, high-performing turf. Over time, soil becomes compacted from traffic and use, restricting the flow of air, water, and nutrients. Aerification relieves this compaction by creating channels that increase oxygen in the soil, allowing the grass to properly respirate while also improving drainage and overall root development.

We offer a variety of aerification approaches tailored to your field’s needs. Options include solid tine or cross-tine aerification at depths of up to 6 inches, deep-tine aerification reaching 12 inches, and soil decompaction using a Shockwave system at depths of up to 9 inches. For more traditional cultivation, we can also pull cores at a depth of 5–6 inches. Each method can be used individually or combined to achieve optimal results, helping your field perform safer, stronger, and more consistently.
